Heading to Chicago

Finally ready to head West, so glad to be out of that van. Try living in a vw camper van for a month. In the end, during the final days, in cool wet weather, it really sucks. Now in a brand new boutique hotel in amsterdam. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Sweet. Kicking the feet up, repacking all the $*@& WE have collected for a month. The creep we rented the van from wanted the thing detailed out upon return so today we spent the day detailing a van to the max with a 3 year old mind you. Then driving North for three hours. So you better believe we are sooooooooooooooooo happy be be here!!!! Looking forward to a day in Chicago at a suites Hotel of somw sort visiting with Specers Granparents. Swimming pool & all ! We had a awesome day yesterday on bikes exploring historic brugee Belgium, Beautiful. Anyway, until then, hasta luego. & AND AT LAST SO GLAD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!

Belgium

Drove last evening after 3 days at Disney to Belgium. About a 3 hour drive. Spencer slept the whole way as he was wiped out from Disneyland. We are at a wi fi site in a mc donalds right now. Did you know that Mc Donalds in Europe mostly dont serve breakfast. This one opened early at 10 am. This one makes you pay xtra for ketchup. Super cheapie weepies here. Another dirty campground like those of France. They dont seem to mow lawns here or weed anything. Euro Disney kind of reflected that as well.Now booking rooms for our last night in Amsterdam & one night in Chicago. Looking for a laundry mat to do like 5 loads of laundry. Then we have to detail the campervan as it has to be as clean if not cleaner when we return it. So a lot of work ahead of us for the next day or so. Bought a Belgium chocolate bar last night yummy. Will buy more to take home. Spencer is having a blast right now because this mcdonalds has a huge indoor play park and a kids TV. Thats about all for now. We will have wi fi in our hotel in Amsterdam so Im sure we will post something then.

Paris France

I have 5 minutes to type this blog before our wi fi time is up. We traveled quicky north through france 2 days ago. France has a beautiful beautiful countryside. It is most expensive to food isnt so good and the people dont take care of thing like the Germans do. (kinda dirty). Spent yesterday at euro Disney as we will today (if we ever get there its already noon and they close at 6) we will also go tomorrow as we got a 3 day pass. Tomorrow eve we will head to Belgium. So it will be a couple more days.Spencer is loving Disney to say the least. Wet and cold here like often in the windy city.Thats all for now!

Catilian Sunshine

So we are north of barcelona in a beach town called Banes. It must be the Miami Beach of Spain. We are staying in one of several resort type campgrounds that is very nice to say the least. We dont have internet and it is difficult to blog at this internet cafe. So quickly, Our cruise here was awesome. I imagine that it was like being on a cruise. We had our own cabin with a bathroom. We got a good rest. There was a playroom, a casino, piano bar etc.... In Spain we can use the bathrooms but you must B.Y.O.T. bring your own toilet paper. Otherwise it has been very nice for us here. Beach promenade, many awesome parks for children and of course new foods to try. We will leave tommorow and head into France. Thats all for now hopefully better wifi in France.

Leaving Italy

Spent the day yesterday in Rome. Went to the Colleseum, Vatican City and Trevi Fountian. Met some of the Popes constituants, but missed the pope who will make a showing today. The ancient city of Rome is just incredible. We just love the Italian people. Thet are playful and light. They really value and love children. They dont charge to use public restrooms like the Germans. They have good coffee. American music is played everywhere. We are heading to Cittavechia today where we will catch a ship at 10pm tonight. The ship will take us on an 18 hour journey across the ocean to Barcelona Spain. We will arrive in Spain at 6 pm tomorrow. I have yet to find out the name of the ocean that we are crossing. Robert laughs at me for bringing Spencers child size life jacket aboard the ship. (when Natalie was little I would bring her life jacket on flights that crossed an ocean. (so Im getting better). We are taking tons of photos. We still havent gotten Spencers haircut. We planned on getting it cut in Italy , but he wasnt ready , I dont think we were either. Spencers common quote for the trip, "where are we now mama".

Rome, Italy

Arrived in Rome a few hours ago after spending a couple days in Siena Italy. Yesterday we rested and didnt venture out. We are pretty tired. Siena was beautiful. We have all been batteling a cold for the past several days. Right now I think mine is turning into a sinus infection as the whole right side of my face and head is pounding. Tomorrow when we head to the city I will stop in the pharmacy. Even though it is cool here Spencer and Robert went swimming here at the campground this afternoon shortly after we arrived.
